Jon & Kate... +8
OK, so I want to know what you think of this subject? I haven't been a fan very long. And, I don't know if you can really call me a "fan" either, but I was definitely interested. If you don't know, they are filing for a divorce. But, if I am correct, they will still air the shows but Jon and Kate won't be in the same house when they tape. On the show last night, Kate said she wanted "peace for the kids." Personally, peace does not mean having a camera in my house displaying for the whole world to see my pain as my husband and I go through a divorce. I haven't disliked them until now, but currently, I feel bad for those kids. They can't make these decisions. The adults do. But, they are still going to air these shows? Makes me feel bad, ya know? Don't you think the cameras probably aided in some of the poor actions leading up to the divorce? I don't think they are thinking about their kids. Sorry for the complete random post, but I just wanted your opinion.

The shows whole fame came from family people who were curious to know how such a big family functioned. However, I believe the show has lost extreme popularity since the divorce began.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think they should kick the cameras out of the house, sit down and talk like normal family and see if they could save their marriage.
I think Jon and Kate lost touch with each other. Jon hates all the attention that the show brings, which is understandable. They are living under a microscope, of course eventually tabloids are going to dig something up on them.
ReplyDeleteKate loves the attention, says its good for her career, etc. However, when they first started the show, they said they were doing it for the kids. To give them a life Jon and Kate were never able to experience when they were younger. Well look at what they have done now. I don't think a broken home is the life they had in mind for their children.
The cameras should have left the house a long time ago. I used to tune into the show regularly, before all the tabloid drama. You could tell by their body language things were starting to get rough awhile ago. They should have stepped back, assessed the situation and kicked TLC out...in my opinion.
